Wool Field Jacket (US WWII)

Wool jacket dated 1942. This model was used both for the field and as a dress uniform. With all the original buttons from the Waterbury Button Company house. Four front pockets. On one pocket is the control label: size 38S, dated March 2, 1942, Curlee clothing company factory.

     Presidential Unit Citation (Air and Space Forces). Branded Simon GI
     good conduct in the army
     American Defense Medal with two stars
     American Company Medal (1941-1946)

Rank: Sergeant (sergeant, Sgt. 4th grade)

Patches: Honorable Service Lapel Button (aka Ruptured Duck) / AAF Airlift Command Bow and Headquarters Patch.

Insignia: USA collar pins (marked DOMAR G-I) and Army Air Corps pilots. On the arm: 1 Service stripe (= 3 years of service in the army) and 2 Overseas Service Bars (= 1 year of service abroad).

It was about a veteran who was also called up to participate in World War II.
