Bayonet Saber M1855 of the Civil War of the United States
Bayonet Original knowledge of the Civil War of the United States. Unknown manufacturer Model of 1855. This model was made to adapt to the new percussion rifle used mainly by the Confederates. The handle has the thumb mechanism that secured the bayonet with the rifle. Normally it was used with the rifles Joslyn, Merrill and Justice. Very similar to the Remington Zouave bayonet.
